This is the story of a 1963 Aristocrat Lil Loafer. It's a travel trailer in a continual state of restoration. That makes it a rough draft, a work in progress, which I have decided is a good way to view one's life.
I learned this, at least, by my experiment; that if one advances confidently in the direction of her dreams, and endeavors to live the life which she has imagined, she will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. from the "Conclusion" to Walden
I write poems, short stories--lately flash fiction and short shorts. I've had stories published in Northwest Review, The Literary Review, Big Muddy, Things That Are True, Elder Mountain and others. I've written four books, two collections of poems, a Cherokee narrative and one collection of short stories. Sometimes, I write in my 10 foot travel trailer.
